Literacy
- Continued our work with the short sound the vowel A makes
- Completed many centers teaching the _am and _at word families
- Played word family Lotto and Tic Tac Toe!
- Discussed the meaning of sequence. We listed the sequence of the book, In a Dark, Dark Wood.
- We had a blast making a short vide0! Each student had a part from the book and read their part into the camera. It was fun watching.
- We enjoy listening to the BIG book read to us. We practiced following along with "our magic finger" word by word.
Math
- We went for a shape hunt around the school. We looked for triangles, circles, and squares.
- We opened 3 pumpkins (small, medium, and large). We read the book, How many pumpkin seeds? Ask you child what pumpkin had the most and the least amount of seeds.
- We made toasted pumpkin seeds (Yummy)
- We explored coins; penny, nickel, dime, and quarter.
