Literacy:

* Letter B (beginning and ending sounds)

* Sight Words ( all/you)

* Each reading group met and mastered a new book!

* Along with the guided reading there is an extension that develops a specific strategy from that book. All of the activities are kept in your child's reading book.

* We read the poem Deb Likes Bubbles.

* We experimented with bubbles and wrote a descriptive sentence describing what the bubbles look like.

Math

* Used our hands to practice counting by 5's

* Finished our January Calendar

* Practiced graphing

* Worked on the Mac computers exploring a literacy program called Lexia.

* Introduced the addition and subtraction symbols
