Friday, June 3rd - 8:30-9:30 in the Commons -
ABC's of Kindergarten - This a presentation made by the whole K class. There will be singing, speaking, and sharing! There will be refreshments after.

Tuesday, June 7th - K Class Picnic -9:30-2:30 at
The Oltjen's House - We encourage families to attend!
Details were sent home in backpacks on Wednesday. Please fill out form a return to me by Tuesday May 31st. The room parents are organizing food and activities for that day. Contact them with any questions ( Wen and Chrissy )

"Love" was in the air this week!

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and friends that joined us for our Love Is presentation. Mrs. Martin and myself were so proud of all the students. The way they conducted themselves was fabulous. They all did a PERFECT job!

The best part was to see their proud smiles when they came back to the room!
They knew they ROCKED!

Literacy
* Letter of the week Ww
* Sight words: saw, all
* Read the poem We Wonder
* We wrote a sentence beginning with the prompt; I wonder ___________________.
* Wrote our thoughtful messages to our family.
* Finished our capital letters in our Handwriting books
* Continued with our Poetry discussion
* Discussed syllables (the parts of a word) - Played many games to hear how many syllables are in words!

Math
* Explored the calculator
* Solved many number equations using the (+) sign and the (-) sign
* Review with your child the meaning of these signs and give them some simple equations to solve!
They love a challenge
* We are mastering counting by 5's and 10's Yippee!!
