ABC's of Kindergarten - This a presentation made by the whole K class. There will be singing, speaking, and sharing! There will be refreshments after.

Tuesday, June 7th - K Class Picnic -9:30-2:30 at
The Oltjen's House - We encourage families to attend!
Details were sent home in backpacks on Wednesday. Please fill out form a return to me by Tuesday May 31st. The room parents are organizing food and activities for that day. Contact them with any questions ( Wen and Chrissy )

We had a great week back!

Literacy
* We shared all our fun and exciting vacation memories! We wrote about them and illustrated a picture. They are hanging in the classroom.
* We studied the letter Cc.
* Sight words - have/up
* Read many ABC books! We started our own...It will be displayed at our ABC's of Kindergarten.
* Wrote a book titled One Monday. We shared it with the school community at All School Meeting. The students thought of this book after reading the original version, One Monday by Amy Huntington.
The book describes funny things that happen to a young girl and her farm animals during a week of windy weather. The author leaves a clue and the end that the next week begins with rainy weather. This is where the students thought it would be fun to write the RAINY version.
As a challenge we asked the school community to write a version with the ending of our book..A SNOWY week. It has been a success and there are 5 different versions begin written throughout the school.
The students were so proud of themselves!
