Friday, June 3rd - 8:30-9:30 in the Commons -
ABC's of Kindergarten - This a presentation made by the whole K class. There will be singing, speaking, and sharing! There will be refreshments after.

Tuesday, June 7th - K Class Picnic -9:30-2:30 at
The Oltjen's House - We encourage families to attend!
Details were sent home in backpacks on Wednesday. Please fill out form a return to me by Tuesday May 31st. The room parents are organizing food and activities for that day. Contact them with any questions ( Wen and Chrissy )

Literacy
* Continued with the letter Uu word families
* Completed our ABC books
* Focused on the sight words; was / when
* Finished book 2 + 3 of Magic Tree house - Wrote our favorite part!
* Worked on the lowercase e, i, and l
* Continued to focus on sentence writing: Begin with a capital, spaces between words, lowercase letters, and ending with punctuation.
* wrote letters to Japan students with our third grade buddies
(Mr. Felix has a friend that teaches in Japan. We will send them and he will share the cards with his students)

Math
* Geometric Shape Museum
* Geometric shape book
* Adding coins
* Counting by 2's - Skip counting
